Chia Seeds are high in Omega 3 Fatty Acids, Phosphorus, Calcium and Manganese. They are commonly used as a part of a Ketogenic Diet. They are also great for putting weight onto pets that otherwise don’t hold weight well (see directions)
Chia Seeds have been shown to help regulate insulin levels, improve the utilization of fats, and reduce the incidence of obesity.
Storage & Shelf Life Guidance
This product is labeled with a Manufactured On date instead of an expiration date to reflect the true variability of herbal shelf life.
When stored properly, herbs can remain effective for up to 5 years.
To maintain freshness and potency:
- Store in a cool, dry place—avoid heat, moisture, and sunlight
- Do not refrigerate or freeze unless you can prevent exposure to condensation or ice crystals
- Reseal the package tightly between uses to minimize oxygen exposure
- Always use clean, dry utensils to avoid introducing moisture or contaminants
Improper storage may reduce shelf life to less than 2 years. With proper care, you can safely and effectively use this product for much longer.
Suggested Use:
Soak for 4 or more hours then spoon over food. For ease of use, you may portion out up to 7 days worth with an equal amount of water and store in a refrigerated mason jar.
Cats: 1tsp per day per 10lbs of body weight
Dogs:
*Up to 20lbs – 2 tsp per day
*21-40 lbs – 4 tsp per day
*41-80 lbs – 1.5 TBSP per day
*Over 81lbs – 3 TBSP per day
For first-time use, gradually increase to the full amount over several days.
